“The victim who hails from Washington DC, USA and is a retired civil servant in the US, arrived Nigeria on 13th February, 2019 on a visit to one Chukwuebuka Kasi Obiaku, 34 years old, a native of Ikeduru LGA of Imo State whom she met on Facebook,” Mba said in a statement.

Regina Daniel's Father Explains Why He Reconciled With Ned Nwoko

Why I reconciled with Ned Nwoko — Regina Daniels’ father

My target in child-bearing not yet met — Nwoko

Father of Regina Daniels, Jude Ojegwu, has explained that he decided to reconcile with Ned Nwoko, his daughter’s billionaire husband following the birth of his grandson.

Recall that Regina Daniels gave birth to a baby boy two weeks ago.

Barrister Ojegwu, who was reported to have staunchly opposed the marriage of his 20-year old daughter to the business mogul and politician, told journalists during the baby’s naming ceremony, held in Abuja, Friday evening that the birth of the baby made him reconcile with Nwoko, for the sake of peace, joy, and happiness.

At the ceremony where the child was named Munir, Ojegwu insisted that the birth of his grandson, made him put everything behind him with his in-law.

Hear him: “The birth of this child has answered the question (about the controversy); everybody craves for peace, joy, and happiness. I have accepted everything.

“I feel very happy having a grandchild and that is why I am here. I travelled all the way from Lagos to this place just to celebrate with the family. I told him (Nwoko) and the mother to call him Ifechukwude which means what God has written.”

Speaking also at the event, Nwoko said even with the birth of his son from Regina Daniels, he was yet to meet his target in child-bearing.

He said at the appropriate time, the target would be known.

Nwoko who said he would father more children according to Islamic faith said he married the actress because she is peaceful, loving, disciplined, and homely.

“My little boy is bearing my middle name, Munir. It means light. It is an Islamic name and I am a Muslim. I am still very young, I have my target when it comes to child-bearing and I have not reached my target yet. God speaks through man. So when the time comes, you will know. Regina is a lovely woman, patient, easy-going, homely, disciplined, and peaceful”, he said.

The event attracted many Nollywood stars, among who were veteran Segun Arinze, Oge Okoye, and Francis Duru.

Serious - Magu Used Pastor Emmanuel Omalewas To Launder Money Abroad

A report by the Presidential Probe Panel has shown details of how Ibrahim Magu, the suspended acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), allegedly used a cleric to launder funds abroad.

Magu is currently being interrogated by the panel headed by retired Justice Ayo Salami over allegations of lack of transparency in managing recovered assets and mismanagement of EFCC.

A copy of the report made available to the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, on Saturday in Abuja disclosed that the founder of the Divine Hand of God Prophetic Ministry, Abuja, Dr Emmanuel Omalewas was used by Magu to launder funds.

Omale’s name was uncovered through an investigative report on EFCC’s activities by the Nigeria Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU) and mentioned in the final report of the Presidential Committee on Audit of Recovered Assets (PCARA).

The report added that the unknown Pastor is alleged to have bought a landed property on behalf of Magu worth N573 million in Dubai, United Arab Emirate.

Another individual who is helping in laundering funds for the Acting Chairman and who has been referred to in several petitions is one Pastor Emmanuel Omale of the Hand of God Prophetic Ministry.

“He’s reported to have travelled to Dubai with Mr Magu, and his name was used in purchasing a property in Dubai for Mr Magu.

“As an unknown pastor, the NFIU’s report showed the huge movement of funds ranging from N573,228,040.41,” the report said.

However, efforts had been intensified to reveal the real identity of the Pastor and to arraign him for prosecution if found culpable.

Magu is being held at the Police headquarters in Abuja.

He is expected to reappear before the Salami probe panel on Monday, to defend himself against several allegations.

OSUN- An African goddess

òrìṣà

According to the Yoruba people of South-Western Nigeria and also parts of Republic of Benin, practitioners of the Yoruba traditional tradition and Ifa oral literature believe in a pantheon of 401 gods or deities (orisa) who were sent to the world by Olodumare to protect and govern the world and all forms of human life.

Who is Ọṣun?

Ọṣun can be described as a spirit, a deity or river goddess who is the the goddess of divinity, fertility, femininity, fertility and love. She is believed to be omnipresent and omnipotentShe is very powerful and kind and she is also the saint of the Osun river which can be found in Ekiti State, Western Nigeria.

Ọṣun-Osogbo Festival

The Osun river also passes through the sacred Osun-Osogbo sacred grove and that is where the principal sanctuary of the deity is located. The Osun goddess established her kingdom there. Olaguna(1952:16) writes that many centuries ago, Oba Olarooye of Ipole omu, Olutimehin, a great hunter and their subjects migrated from Ipole omu because of water scarcity and they settled at the Osun groove where the goddess had established her kingdom.

One day, as they were preparing the ground for the planting season, a tree fell across the river crushing many of Osun tools of trade. It is recorded that the goddess was furious with  Olutimehin saying: "Gbogbo ikoko aro mi le ti fo tan" (You have destroyed all my calabashes). The spirits within the grove pacified the goddess saying:

"Oso-igbo pele o" spirit of the forest we plead
"Oso-igbo rora o"  spirit of the forest be patient

Olarooye and Olutimehin were shocked because they wondered how the goddess knew their names. Sensing  this, she re-assured them and later advised them to move to the upper part of the river called OHUNTOTO. There Oba Olarooye established another palace as well as a thriving market.

One day, Olutimehin saw some spirits dancing round a lamp with sixteen receptacles, which he seized through incantation. When the goddess learnt of this, she made Olutimehin and Olarooye promise to celebrate the lightening of the lamp annually, particularly nine days from the grand finale of the Osun festival.

She gave them a calabash containing antiquities with a warning that the contents must never be exposed to the naked eyes. She also decreed that the calabash must be taken to the grove during the festival by a virgin to the reigning king, and who must be chosen by the Ifa.

On the festival day, the Ataoja (king ) sits on the dedicated stone of authority housed on the Osun temple/shrine where he commune with the ancestors. Osun gave her assurance that if her instructions were carried out, she would  pour a curative substance into the river if sacrifices from the Ataoja were acceptable. According to historical records, Osogbo had been founded as early as  the Oduduwa period. Osogbo, the goddess of Osun river was the queen original founder of Osogbo.

According to Bier (1966:69) there are some heroic roles of historical importance, rendered by Osun goddess especially during the Fulani war of 1842. She was credited with many important achievements, which helped to established the state. She possessed magical powers which inspired her and frightened her.

The relationship between the Osun Osogbo festival which has been celebrated for about six hundred centuries.

Primordial Ọṣun

According to Ifa oral literature, Osun was the only female irunmole (primordial spirit) sent by Olodumare (God) to the world and she encountered difficulties in the course of her duties that she sought the assistance of Sango (god of thunder & lightning). She was mesmerised by Sango's mythical powers that she decided to become his wife. She was honoured by the gods who granted her goddess status based on her loyalty.

Mortal Ọṣun

According version of Ifa literature states that she went to a drum festival where she met and fell in love with Sango. Other versions also mention that she was also married to Orunmila (god of wisdom and divination). The Abẹ̀bẹ̀ is the ritual object most associated with Ọṣun. The Abẹ̀bẹ̀ is a fan in circular form.

Brazillians

The Afro-Brazillians in Brazil also worship Osun who they believe is the goddess of rivers and waterfalls. She is also in control of wealth, prosperity, love and beauty and follows seek Osun when they have marital or relationship issues.  "Lady of Gold" is another name they call Osun. In Brazil dhe is worshipped near waterfalls, and more rarely, near mineral water sources
