Sagamu Prepares For Ewusi Of Makun Oba Oyesola Akinsanya 80th Birthday Celebrations

The Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun as well as first-class traditional rulers led by Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Awujale of Ijebu land, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, Alake of Egba land, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo as well as the Akarigbo and Paramount ruler of Remo land, Oba Adewale Ajayi are among eminent personalities expected to grace twin celebration of 15th coronation anniversary and 80th birthday of Ewusi of Makun, Sagamu, Oba Timothy Oyesola Akinsanya.

The Chairman, Media Committee of the celebrations, Teju Ogunjinmi disclosed this during the press conference held on Saturday at the Ewusi Palace, Makun, Sagamu.

Ogunjinmi disclosed that the two-in-one event provides the opportunity to appreciate God and to also celebrate the traditional ruler, Oba Timothy Akinsanya whose reign has not brought unimaginable peace and accelerated development to Makun kingdom.

He explained that the reign of Oba Timothy Akinsanya has not only brought great expansion to the community, but it has also attracted several investors who had found the kingdom conducive for business and this he said, has provided jobs for its teeming youths and impacted positively on the socio-economic development of the entire Sagamu and Ogun State at large.

Prominent sons and daughters of Sagamu are leaving no stones in ensuring that the forthcoming party celebrations will not only be a carnival but will be talk of the town for many years to come. 

In an exclusive interview with a Palace insider who did no want to be named, our reporter was briefed about intricate preparations for the celebrations. "Baba is a people's man and we'll loved by the community so we will all rally round to make sure this event will be a masterpiece. Everything for this party is from abroad " the source was quoted as saying.

Pregnant Nigerian Lady Marries Old Man After Man Who Impregnated Her Absonded

A Pregnant Nigerian lady got married to an old man after the man who got her pregnant absconded.

Reacting to pictures of the traditional marriage shared on Twitter, a Twitter user, @TheOliviaLife stated that the marriage of the young lady with the old man was arranged by the lady's people after the man who Impregnated the lady absconded.

She wrote;

"Nope. The girl is pregnant and the person that impregnated her has absconded so her people arrange with an old man to come and marry her so that she can give birth under his protection and the child will answer his name.
It’s practiced in my place and I try to fight against it."

Veteran Yoruba Actress Orisabunmi Is Dead

Veteran Yoruba actress Folake Aremu, popularly known as Orisabunmi, has died.
The 60-year-old Nollywood actress Orisabunmi's death confirmation was confirmed by the President of the Theatre Arts And Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) Bolaji Amusan, aka Mr. Latin, about a few hours ago.

In Mr. Latin's words '' “She died last night sir', while another TAMPAN member Tunde Ola-Yusuff also announced the death in a Facebook post.

“She left without goodbye. The sudden death of Mrs. Folake Aremu (ORISABUNMI) has been announced.

“Really a shock on everyone. Iya Oosa, may God rest your Soul among the righteous,” Ola Yusuff wrote.


This is really sad, I grew up watching her movies as a kid movies such as Arelu. It's not even a gear tgat Jimoh Aliu passed.. May her soul rest in peace.
